We finished Unit 1, on Real #'s and Proportional Relationships, last Friday, 10/16. As students had been taking the district-wide Performance Task last Thursday and Friday, we had a backlog of homework needing correction & review built up. We addressed that today. Tuesday, we will be starting Lesson 5.1. The students will get the pages for Module (chapter) 5 during class Tuesday, but the textbook is also available online (see below).
As we are catching up, I did not assign homework tonight. However, I do plan to assign homework from Lesson 5-1 on Tuesday. For anyone working with tutors, our current slate of new, upcoming lessons, is from Modules (chapters) 5, 6, & 7. This week we are working on lessons 5-1, 5-2, etc. Our second unit is on Functions and Linear Equations. Please remember that there is an online version of the textbook, through my.hrw.com , and that your student should know his or her log-in information.
